1. Photos taken on a GPS with a camera are geotagged. This means that as well as the photo, the grid reference of the photo is recorded by the GPS and effectively becomes a Waypoint

2. You can only view the photo and grid reference on the GPS. It can be saved as a Waypoint if you so wish on the GPS

3. You can save the photo as a Waypoint on the GPS and also when you open it on Basecamp. You can also save it as a 'jpeg' from Basecamp on to your computer

4. When the track is opened in Basecamp, the photo will appear along the track where it was taken


5. Photos are listed separately in the Internal Storage of the GPS. They can be saved in Basecamp as a Waypoint


6. If you open up the photo in Basecamp, you have the option of then saving it as a 'jpeg' file and hence save it to another folder on your computer and handle it like a normal photo etc
