If you are using the Garmin Montana 700i or 750i with the pre-loaded City Navigator European Maps you should be able to search for UK Postcodes.
We have found a small bug that if you also have installed in your unit a Garmin Topo Great Britain Pro 1:50k Map card that has been purchased as a physical map card rather than a download that the City Navigator Postcode searches currently do not work.
If you remove the Topo Pro 1:50k Map card the postcode searches seem to work fine.
Garmin are aware of the issue and are working on a software fix, please give Garmin a call on their UK number if in Europe to report the issue on telephone number - 023 8052 4000
They may offer you a downloaded version of the Topo Pro 1:50k map which seems to currently solve the issues whilst we await a firmware fix.
The Topo Great Britain Pro 1:25k Map does not seem to have the same issue with postcode searches.
