Shepherds Walks and GPS Training

1. Download the Windows Version of BaseCamp
 

Visit the Garmin website to download the latest version of Basecamp.

 The download link for Windows is near the bottom of the website page- click on ‘Download Now’
You will be taken to the BaseCamp for Windows Updates & Download Screen – click on ‘Download’
 Once the download is complete you will need to click on the install file in your downloads folder and install the programme following any on screen instructions.
 

2. Garmin Express Software , disable the Always keep running & automatically open settings
 
 For Garmin Basecamp to see your connected GPS Device and maps, if you have installed Garmin Express Software that is used for performing firmware & map updates to your GPS Device it needs to be fully closed down, please make sure you have disabled the Automatic running & open Settings.

 - From your programmes list open up Garmin Express Software, then once Garmin Express is opened select the cog wheel icon to go into Settings. 

- In General Settings make sure the Launch Garmin Express, Always keep Garmin Express running & Automatically open boxes are all un-ticked then select OK at the bottom right of the screen and close Garmin Express Down.

 
 - Now restart your Windows Computer.
