When you send Geocaches to your GPS or if you have purchased a GPS that comes pre-loaded with caches, you can view these Geocaches by going to the main menu of your GPS and then select the Geocaching Treasure Chest Icon.
The Geocaches will be displayed in order of the closest ones to you at the top of the screen.
Only Geocaches within 100 miles of your current location will be displayed on the screen.
Geocaches Not Appearing on a GPSMAP Handheld
Your GPSMAP 62, 64, 65, 66 or 86 Series will only display geocaches located within a 100-mile radius of the device or a selected position.
In order to search or view geocaches that are more than 100 miles from where you are located, utilize the Search Near option and select a map point within a 100-mile radius of the geocache you wish to view.
Using Search Near
Press MENU twice to access the main menu.
Select Geocaches/Geocaching.
Press MENU.
Select Search Near.
Select an option for changing the area the device searches from.
Utilizing the Search Near feature on these devices will allow you to search for geocaches outside the 100-mile radius from your current location with the GPS
Oregon 600, 700& Montana 600 / 700 devices - Using the Search Near function
Select Where To? from the Main Menu
If Where To? is not in the menu, open the application drawer:
Montana 600 users: Touch Image of Drawer Up Arrow
Oregon 600 users: Swipe left to right (Landscape) -or- bottom to top (Portrait)
Oregon 700 and Montana 700 users: Touch the magnifying glass icon
Select Menu Icon
Select Search Near
Select an option for where the device searches from
Select Geocaches
Select a geocache from the list that you wish to search near
Any loaded geocaches within 100 miles should now be visible based on the option you selected.
